Become our Junior Software Engineer

Help us integrate our product, BoneMRI, in the clinical workflow of healthcare institutions.

As a software engineer at MRIguidance, you will be a contributor to the development of our cloud-based deep learning enabled MRI image analysis solution, BoneMRI, for the visualisation and characterization of bone and soft tissues. You will contribute to the development of our latest AI imaging software, with focus on seamless data exchange between hospitals and the MRIguidance cloud such that the BoneMRI can be made available to the healthcare professionals and is seamlessly integrated in their workflow. You will work in accordance with medical device standards and regulations. During development, you will use agile and scrum methods and work in a vibrant entrepreneurial team of software developers, image scientists and deep learning experts.

What you actually will be doing

As part of the Development Team of MRIguidance, you will contribute to the design and development of the components that transport and process the medical data of patients: from getting the data from the healthcare institution to the MRIguidance cloud and allowing it to be processed by the AI algorithms and then, making the newly created BoneMRI images and analyses available to the healthcare professionals. Together with the head of software engineering and the other team members, you are responsible to deliver the product features according to the planning: from understanding the features into details, to implementing them, testing them and making sure that the product is deployable.

Your responsibilities
  • Collaborate with your team members and other teams to understand product features, discuss and design solutions and contribute to overall development process
  • Using Python, develop new and improve existing containerized components that run in kubernetes, both on-premise and in the cloud.
    – Write, debug and troubleshoot new or existing code
    – Write unit tests and integration tests
    – Do code reviews and providing/accepting feedback
    – Build CI pipelines
  • Integrate with 3rd party components, using REST APIs
  • Use version control systems (git/Gitlab) to manage and track changes to the code
  • In collaboration with the support team, investigate and resolve production issues
  • Contribute to technical documentation required by the medical device regulations
  • 2-3 years of experience in a software development team
  • Knowledgeable in Python on Linux and Windows
  • Knowledge about with CI frameworks, version control (Git)
  • DevOps knowledge on cloud development and deployments
  • Knowledge/experience with scrum/agile methodologies is a pre
  • Easy learner, quickly adapting to new languages, environments and libraries;
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
  • Problem solving skills and attitude;
  • A bachelor or master’s degree in computer science is preferred;
  • You have a valid permit to live and work in The Netherlands.
