The European program and the MRIguidance’s shareholders invest for continued growth.
Utrecht, July 9th, 2020 – Today, the winners of the funding call of the EIT Health were announced at the Sachs Novel Coronavirus Investment Forum. MRIguidance was selected from 121 applicants, as one of the Best-in-Class European Innovation companies. The companies were presented to the audience of investors and industry leaders with video pitches. MRIguidance raised € 750.000 in this bridge funding round.
“This funding round allows us to keep the momentum we currently have.” says Roel Raatgever, founder and CEO of MRIguidance. “The selection process was very thorough and the fact that we have been selected proves we are on the right track.” MRIguidance will use the investment to further clinically validate its BoneMRI technology and obtain regulatory market approval in the USA.
EIT Health has arranged this funding instrument in a few months with full support from the European Commission. The aim of the instrument is to support the best innovative healthcare companies that experienced delay in their fundraising rounds due to the Corona crisis. With this financial bridge investment these companies can continue their growth path as planned. In total 11 companies were selected to receive funding. Besides the financial investment, MRIguidance will continue to receive support from the EIT Health team and its international network.
